Donor Event Branding

This year, I was privileged to create the main branding set for the Heritage Foundation’s most prestigious donor event, Annual Leadership Conference.

The Style Tile

The first step was connecting with the events team, and understanding their vision and resources for this project. “Annual Leadership Conference” is for the top-tier of Heritage donors, and would be held in the new Four Seasons hotel in New Orleans, Louisiana. Adjectives that the client wanted to invoke included “elegant,” “historic,” and “fresh.”

Using this guidance, I began the style tile process, bringing in textures from the French and Spanish architecture of New Orleans, Old World feel, and elegant gold.

Save the Date

Pulling from Louisiana’s natural beauty, I created a hand drawn embellishment featuring the state bird and flower. This custom element, coupled with a fine gold finish allowed for a simple yet elegant save the date.

Invitation Package

As the invitation content was being finalized, we received the news that the New Orleans location would not work out because of COVID restrictions. After a couple weeks on hold, a new location was chosen: the Ritz-Carlton on Amelia Island, Florida. Many of the design elements worked with the new North Florida, upper scale location, but I made a few swaps to add a beachy-er, more Florida feel. Of course, this includes adding an alligator to the package.

On-Site Collateral

The branding also stretched to onsite collateral in the form of directional signage, menus, stage design, name tags, and a program guide.
